Clemson and Georgia did their best Penn State-Wisconsin impression during Saturday night’s primetime game.
The Badgers and Nittany Lions began the college football day with an absolute snooze-fest. The Big Ten foes didn’t score a single point in the first half. The final score wound up being 16-10. Almost every college football fan and analyst spent the entire morning making fun of Big Ten football because of it. Now, it’s Clemson’s and Georgia’s turn.
The Bulldogs and Tigers couldn’t move the ball in the first half of Saturday night’s game. The best players of the first two quarters were both team’s punters. It was a pretty ugly sighting from the two juggernauts.
As both teams deserve, college football fans couldn’t help but crack a few jokes about Clemson’s and Georgia’s abysmal offensive performances Saturday night.

Explosive and high-scoring offenses have dominated college football these past few years. Was Saturday night’s primetime game the return of great defenses?

Clemson and Georgia both have the talent to put up massive points. Each has a potential superstar at quarterback and are loaded with play-makers. But neither offense could outshine the opposing defense on Saturday night. In fact, the first score of the game was a pick-six by the Georgia defense.
