Selection Sunday is just a few days away as March Madness draws nearer.
With major conference tournaments set to get going this week, ESPN Bracketology expert Joe Lunardi has released a new bracket seeding projection update. All eyes are on Gonzaga tonight in the WCC Tournament Championship against Saint Mary’s.
But even if the Bulldogs lose, Lunardi reaffirmed in his latest update that Gonzaga will remain a one-seed. Kansas, Baylor and Dayton remain the three other No. 1 seeds, as things currently stand.
The Pac-12 and Big 12, in particular, have a big week ahead. Stanford and UCLA will each be considered a “lock” to get in the tournament if each wins its First Round game in the Pac-12 Tournament. Texas Tech, Texas, Indiana and Wichita State are all in a familiar position as well, according to Lunardi:

The Big Ten currently has 10 teams projected in the field, followed by the Pac-12 with seven. The Big East and Big 12 are right behind with six schools each.
Lunardi’s on full bubble watch this week. Stanford, Indiana, Texas and N.C. State are just in, according to Lunardi. But Richmond, Xavier, Wichita State and Memphis have work to do if each hopes to go dancing.
The 2020 NCAA Tournament bracket is anything but finalized as Power Five conference tournaments get underway this week.
