NC State will be hitting the road as a modest favorite for the second straight week, and let’s hope it works out as well as it did in Chestnut Hill. The Wolfpack is currently a 3.5-point favorite over Miami. The line opened at NCSU -1 or NCSU -2 in some places, so the early money has been on the Wolfpack.
Miami has lost quarterback D’Eriq King for the season and has been really Going Through It these last couple of games. The Canes lost to UVA at home by settling for a game-winning field goal attempt that doinked off an upright, and then this past weekend they put together an impressive rally in Chapel Hill only to have a tipped ball intercepted while they were in game-tying field goal range. Ouchtown population those guys, bro.
The Canes are 2-4 overall and have one win over an FBS team (App State) but obviously aren’t far off from 4-2, and they still have plenty of talent on that roster. This’ll be a challenge. Well, depending on which version of Miami shows up.
