With the NFL Combine set to get going later this week, NFL.com has released its top-10 draft prospects ahead of the combine.
Former LSU QB Joe Burrow may have just won the Heisman Trophy after a record-breaking season, but he’s not the highest-rated prospect, according to NFL.com. Former Ohio State DE Chase Young checks in at No. 1 on the NFL.com’s list.
“Young is a tall, long and athletic defensive end,” wrote NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah. “As a pass rusher, he explodes off the ball and gains ground in a hurry. . . . Overall, Young is an All-Pro talent, reminiscent of Julius Peppers and Mario Williams.”
Meanwhile, Burrow is No. 3 on the list behind Young and Auburn DT Derrick Brown. As mock draft projections currently stand, Burrow and Young are expected to be the top-two picks in the upcoming draft while Brown is expected to go somewhere in the top-10. Here’s a look at NFL.com’s top-10 draft prospects ahead of the combine:
- DE Chase Young – Ohio State
- DT Derrick Brown – Auburn
- QB Joe Burrow – LSU
- CB Jeff Okudah – Ohio State
- OT Mekkhi Becton – Louisville
- LB Isaiah Simmons – Clemson
- QB Tua Tagovailoa – Alabama
- DT Javon Kinlaw – South Carolina
- WR CeeDee Lamb – Oklahoma

There’s a few familiar and unfamiliar names listed here.
Most of the talk leading up to the draft has revolved around Burrow and former Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa. Both are expected to go in the first five picks in the upcoming draft.

The NFL Combine will be televised on NFL Network this week.
