As you can see from The Athletic’s Rod Boone’s tweet of the press release, there are a ton of stipulations as to who attends/what happens at these workouts. The only thing they can do is use the court, no weight training or visits to the team physician. Four players are allowed in the facility at once, each accompanied by one coach, making eight total people. Everyone needs a mask at all times, except the player when they’re working out. Everyone gets their temperature taken upon entry to the building, everything is going to be sanitized after use, and no media/non-essential staff are allowed inside. So, yeah, lots of stipulations.
Do you know what this means though? I know you do. You regularly visit At The Hive dot com, you’re an intellectual. We might be getting closer to seeing the Hornets play a real, live basketball game. I don’t know exactly where or how that happens, but the NBA seems dead-set on playing again, and the Hornets are taking the required steps to join in on all of the fun.
Let’s hope that we get some more good news in the coming days or weeks.
