Frank Isola: The Hornets Will Get Better Under Kenny Atkinson

Frank Isola of ESPN, Yes Network, and Sirius XM NBA Radio joined Kyle Bailey on Monday’s edition of The Clubhouse to discuss what type of coach the Hornets are getting with Kenny Atkinson and a preview of Game 5 of the NBA Finals

Frank first got into what type of coach Kenny Atkinson is as he said that he did a great job in taking over one of the worst rosters with the Nets, but they drafted and developed players very nicely, and despite only being known as a development coach Frank said that he built a pretty darn good culture with the Nets as well and he thinks the Hornets will get better under Atkinson.

When it came to the potential of Kenny Atkinson coaching PG LaMelo Ball Frank thinks that is the type of player Kenny would love to coach and Frank pointed to the nugget of how Kenny has helped improve the game of D’Angelo Russell and he was also vital in Linsanity back in 2012.

Things with Frank ended with the NBA Finals as Frank was completely blown away by the performance of Steph Curry and he thinks the key for the rest of the way is that Klay has to help the scoring alongside Steph, and for the Celtics, Jayson Tatum needs to have a signature performance.
