The Panthers have added 12 of their allowed 16 players to the practice squad.
The Panthers have signed 12 players to their practice squad after trimming the active roster down to the league mandated 53-player limit yesterday afternoon. All 12 players were with the Panthers during training camp. The Panthers are expected to bring in former Jets quarterback James Morgan after losing Will Grier to the Cowboys on waivers, which would bring their practice squad total to 13 players.
Once the Panthers bring in Morgan they’ll have three more spots to fill if they so desire, and I would expect to see them bring in a few more players for evaluation because it doesn’t make sense to keep less than the league maximum of players on the practice squad. Stay tuned for updates as we’ll provide any new names added to this list when they become known.
