Clemson had a chance to take a 27-24 lead over Florida State with just over a minute remaining in regulation. However, the football gods had other plans.
Jonathan Weltz’s attempt from 29 yards went wide left, much to the surprise of every person watching this ACC showdown.
ESPN’s Sean McDonough pointed out that Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney wasn’t sure what to expect from Weltz coming into this game. After all, Weltz came out of retirement this past week.

Weltz’s missed field goal legitimately left one fan at Memorial Stadium stunned. Her reaction was so priceless that she might become the meme of the 2023 college football season.

This fan wasn’t the only one left speechless over this missed field goal, that’s for sure.
