Last week College GameDay went to Boulder, Colorado for the first time in several decades. Next week the show is going to another game for a first-ever visit.
On Saturday, College GameDay announced that they are heading to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina for the Week 5 tilt between the Duke Blue Devils and the visiting Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
“FOR THE FIRST TIME … DURHAM HERE WE COME! Week 5: @NDFootball at @DukeFOOTBALL,” they said in a post on X.
But while it’s a tremendous opportunity for the undefeated Blue Devils to show off their campus, college football fans are annoyed at having to see Notre Dame in back-to-back weeks when there are other options out there.

“Other options: #14 Oregon St vs #11 Utah, Kentucky vs #25 Florida, #15 Ole Miss vs #12 LSU. But nah… the IRISH again,” one user replied.
“Back to back ND games??? Come on guys,” wrote another.
Duke fans, meanwhile, are thrilled that their undefeated team is going to get featured on one of the biggest stages:
“Duke is one of the best stories of the year and first-time hosts on GameDay always make for the best environments. Can’t wait!” RedditCFB wrote.
“Looking forward to the crew in our city!” wrote another fan.
The Duke-Notre Dame game will be next Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET and will air on ABC.
