Duke has officially signed three players to its class of 2026 recruiting class, head coach Jon Scheyer announced on Thursday. Its three signees are Cameron Williams, Bryson Howard and Maxime Meyer.
Williams – a 6-foot-11 forward from St. Mary’s HS (AZ) is ranked as a five-star recruit and the No. 4 overall prospect in the country.
“We can’t wait to welcome Cameron Williams to The Brotherhood,” Scheyer said. “Cam possesses a unique set of tools you just don’t find very often. At 7-feet with the ability to guard one through five, elite shooting range, ball-handling ability, and connective playmaking. Cam impacts the game in so many ways, but what excites us most is how coachable and intelligent he is. He genuinely wants to get better, win, and he has an unbelievable ceiling. Bringing in a player with his size, versatility, skill, and mindset is a huge addition for us. Cam’s future is as bright as anyone’s in the country, and we can’t wait to get to work and help him maximize every bit of his potential at Duke.”
Howard – also a five-star recruit, is a senior at Frisco Heritage HS (TX) and is ranked as the No. 12 overall prospect in the nation.
“We’re really excited to welcome Bryson Howard to Duke,” Scheyer said. “Bryson is one of the premier shooters in the country, but what makes him special is how complete his game is. He can play on and off the ball, defend multiple positions at a high level, and he’s an absolute competitor. That competitiveness, combined with his scoring and shooting ability, is going to translate well to the college game. He’s a tremendous teammate – unselfish, all about winning, and a willingness to do whatever it takes. He can guard the opposing team’s best player regardless of position, he will crash the boards, and hit big shots. We love that versatility and competitive spirit, and can’t wait to see Bryson bring that same fire and impact to Duke.”
Meyer is a 7-foot-1 center from Toronto, but is enrolled at IMG Academy (FL) and ranked as the No. 94 recruit in the class of 2026.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Maxime (Meyer) to Duke,” Scheyer said “Max’s development over the past few years has been impressive, and we believe his ceiling is as high as anyone’s in this class. Max checks every box we look for at Duke: elite character, competitiveness, and an outstanding basketball IQ. Max is one of the premier rim protectors in the country, can run the floor, and has great passing instincts. What excites us most is that he’s still getting better… and quickly. Max embraces winning, and we’re fired up to get him on campus. He’s a big-time addition to The Brotherhood.”
Duke currently has the No. 5 ranked recruiting class in the country and has been heavily involved in the recruitments of five-star Jordan Smith Jr. and four-star Derron Rippey Jr.
