DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — To start the 2025-26 women’s basketball season, the Duke Blue Devils will tip off at a special event in Paris.
According to an announcement Thursday, Duke will play Baylor on November 3 in the Paris invitational Oui-Play 2025 at the Adidas Arena.
“Our team, our program and our university are so excited to be over in France and be able to showcase our team and our talent to start the season,” said head coach Kara Lawson. “We couldn’t think of a better place, a better country or a better opportunity to get our journey started next year.”
According to Complete Sports Management, the sports events and marketing agency that assembles exhibition games such as the Bahama Bowl, Oui-Play looks to pit four Top 20 college basketball programs against each other before the top of the season. Last year, fans got to enjoy University of South Carolina versus Ole Miss and UCLA versus Louisville.
As for this year’s matchup, this will be the second time ever that Duke and Baylor play each other. While Duke’s season ended in the Elite Eight in the 2024 March Madness tournament against South Carolina, Baylor had a close second-round tourney exit against Ole Miss.
Tickets are on sale now for the 2025 Oui-Play and can be purchased here. For those looking to make a full Paris-themed trip out of the invitational’s experience, Complete Sports Management has a special VIP fan package that includes a tour of the Louvre museum and a private Seine River cruise with all four participating Oui-Play teams.
