DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils are hoping to cut down the nets at the end of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament and make a run to the NCAA Tournament championship game for a second straight year.
But first things first: Scheyer and his reloaded Duke team will have to prove their worth during a 31-game regular season that features nonconference matchups against at least two teams each from the Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC — including defending national champion Florida.
The Blue Devils open the season on Nov. 4 against Texas in the Dick Vitale Invitational in Charlotte. Two weeks later, they’ll be in New York City to play Kansas at Madison Square Garden in the State Farms Champions Classic. Duke ends the month with a holiday homecoming for Scheyer as they’ll face Arkansas in the CBS Sports Thanksgiving Classic in Chicago.
Despite that loaded November, the Blue Devils may not have their biggest test until December when Todd Golden and the Florida Gators come to Cameron Indoor Stadium. The battle between two of last season’s Final Four teams highlights the 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge slate.
With the abbreviated league schedule this year, Duke will not be hosting NC State, but will be making the short trip to Raleigh to face the Wolfpack in early March. Their traditional home-and-home matchups with archrival UNC, however, remain intact. The Blue Devils will travel to Chapel Hill on Feb. 7 and will host the Tar Heels exactly a month later to end the regular season.
Before all of that, Duke has two exhibition games: at home against former Blue Devil star Johnny Dawkins and his UCF Knights, and in Knoxville against Tennessee on Oct. 26.
Here’s the full schedule for the Blue Devils for the 2025-26 season, with home games in bold.
