DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Duke will be tested once again on Saturday afternoon as the Blue Devils look to give an Atlantic Coast Conference foe their first loss of the season.
Duke (4-2 overall, 3-0 ACC) host the No. 12 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6-0, 3-0) Saturday. Kickoff at Wallace Wade Stadium is set for noon.
The Blue Devils are coming off a bye week, having last won at Cal on Oct. 4. In that 45-21 victory, quarterback Darian Mensah threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Nate Sheppard also found the end zone twice. totaling 91 yards on the ground over the course of the game.
Georgia Tech last week defeated Virginia Tech 35-20 at home. Haynes King threw for 213 and a touchdown for the Yellow Jackets and ran in for two touchdowns of his own, while Malachi Hosley led the ground game with 129 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Up next for Duke is another off week followed by a trip to Clemson on Oct. 1.
