NFL Announces Punishment for Two Seahawks Players in Week 11

November 22, 2025 by Heavy

It was a hard-fought loss by the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams. Nonetheless, two players on the Seattle team will be feeling a little light in their wallets after the NFL announced its fines for the previous week.

On November 22, the league published its Gameday Accountability report for Week 11, with Tyrice Knight and Jarran Reed showing up on the list of fines.

As part of the fine process, players are notified of any violations and may appeal. Cases are heard by appeals officers, former NFL players Derrick Brooks, Ramon Foster, or Jordy Nelson, who are jointly appointed and paid by the NFL and NFLPA. Moreover, their decisions are final and binding.

Beginning with Knight, his infraction that led to a fine occurred in the first quarter at the 6:31 minute mark for a play the league deemed unnecessary roughness because the player used his helmet. As a result, the NFL is fining Knight $6,406.

Reed received the larger fine of the two Seattle players, with his infraction occurring in the second quarter at the 6:26 mark for unsportsmanlike conduct, and has led the league to fine the Seahawks standout $14,491.

Seahawks’ Tyrice Knight to Miss Titans Game

After a loss to the Rams in Week 11, the Seahawks look to get a bounce-back win when they face the struggling Tennessee Titans. On November 21, a day before the NFL fined Knight, Seattle ruled the player out due to a concussion, so he’ll miss the Titans game, per Brady Henderson of ESPN.

Knight’s absence comes as no surprise after he was held out of practice all week while in concussion protocol. Moreover, along with Knight, Seattle also ruled out rookie wide receiver Tory Horton (shin) as the fifth-round pick is set to miss his third straight game.

The Seahawks Will Look for a Bounce Back Win

Seattle will attempt to brush off their loss to the Rams as their NFC West division hopes take a hit. Nonetheless, they have an ideal opponent in the Titans to boost their confidence for this final stretch of games.

Nonetheless, Seattle still has to deal with Sam Darnold’s turnovers after the Rams picked him off four times in Week 11. On November 21, during his Blue 88 segment on Seattle Sports’ Brock and Salk, former NFL quarterback Brock Huard pointed out that better post-snap recognition could help him cut down on mistakes.

“For Sam to play the way he has this year with so much anticipation, he’s done a phenomenal job. How many times have you seen him hit that back foot and he is ripping it and the window is small?” Huard said (h/t Seattle Sports). “… Where he’s gotten himself, and as he speaks to there, in some of the trouble finding answers is that post-snap movement, making sure that what you see pre-snap declares itself post-snap…

“The Rams played a lot of nickel (five defensive backs) and played a lot of dime (six defensive backs), and when you play that, you know what you can do? A lot of pre-to-post-snap confusion and illusion. You can move guys. They can get to two different areas. They can start in one look, but because their speed, they can get to another. Whereas if it’s linebackers and base defense or heavy defense, it’s a lot harder to have that disguise. So yeah, pre-snap (and) post-snap recognition will be a big part of this deal on Sunday.”
