No. 1 Duke has been healthy all season, but is now dealing with two key injuries heading into the postseason.
Coach Jon Scheyer announced Tuesday that junior guard Caleb Foster suffered a fracture in his right foot and is out for the foreseeable future. He had surgery Sunday morning.
Sophomore big man Pat Ngongba II is out for the ACC Tournament with foot soreness and is hopeful for an NCAA Tournament return.
The 6-foot-5 Foster averages 8.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Freshman guard Cayden Boozer figures to play more in his absence.
The 6-11 Ngongba averages 10.7 points and 6.0 rebounds.
Duke opens the ACC Tournament Thursday and is the projected No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
