Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry joined elite company Saturday night, climbing into the NFLâs top 10 on the all-time rushing yards list.
The former Tennessee Titans star surpassed Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett following a dominant first half against the Green Bay Packers, piling up more than 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns before halftime.
Henry reached the milestone on the Ravensâ second offensive possession. Later on the same drive, he scored the 120th rushing touchdown of his career, tying Adrian Peterson for the fourth-most rushing touchdowns in NFL history.
The 31-year-old has steadily climbed the all-time rushing ranks this season. He entered the night with 12,676 career rushing yards and previously passed Jim Brown on Thanksgiving against the Cincinnati Bengals. Henry now owns 25 games with at least 100 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, tying Brown and LaDainian Tomlinson for the most such performances in league history.
In his first season with Baltimore last year, Henry rushed for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns. Entering Saturday night, he had already added 1,253 yards and 12 scores this season, continuing to build a Hall of Fame résumé.
