Mike Elko will reportedly begin filling out his new Texas A&M coaching staff with some familiar faces.
According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, the Aggies are expected to hire two former Duke assistants. Offensive line coach Adam Cushing and cornerbacks coach Ishmael Aristide will follow Elko from Durham to College Station.

Cushing spent three years as Eastern Illinois’ head coach before joining Duke in 2022. The Blue Devils scored 31 rushing touchdowns in his first season and averaged 168.9 rushing yards per game in 2023.
He oversaw two All-ACC linemen in offensive tackle Graham Barton and center Jacob Monk.
Elko also hired Aristide when going to Duke in 2022. The former Purdue safety and wide receiver oversaw a Blue Devils defense that allowed 19.8 points per game with 14 takeaways this season.
Aristide worked for Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M staff in 2019 and 2020 before going to Miami as an outside linebackers coach for one season. The Aggies ranked ninth in total defense during his final year.
Elko and Miller go back to Bowling Green, where Miller was a student manager while Elko worked as Dave Clawson’s defensive coordinator. Miller rose to GM positions at Bowling Green, East Carolina, and Duke.
Texas A&M filled a role that remained open since Kevin Mashack’s departure in June.
