Tigers Introduce New Priority Seating at Comerica Park

January 31, 2026 by Heavy

The Detroit Tigers are elevating the ballpark experience with a brand-new premium hospitality offering: The Press Club at Comerica Park. Announced ahead of the 2026 season, this exclusive space promises fans an unparalleled vantage point and luxury amenities unlike anything the franchise has offered before.

Located adjacent to the stadium’s working media press box, where many memorable Tigers moments have been called and chronicled, The Press Club gives guests the rare opportunity to watch the game from a perspective usually reserved for journalists and broadcasters. With only a limited number of seats available, this club brings an element of exclusivity and prestige to Detroit’s already rich ballpark culture.

What Makes The Press Club Stand Out

What sets The Press Club apart is more than just its location; it’s the combination of luxury, comfort, and iconic views. The space is private and climate-controlled, meaning fans can enjoy games comfortably in both warm summer weather and cooler conditions later in the season. Large sliding windows allow guests to choose the open-air ballpark feel or a relaxed indoor environment with live radio broadcast audio for a true game-day atmosphere.

Access to The Press Club begins two hours before first pitch, when guests are greeted by hospitality staff and offered a signature cocktail or mocktail upon arrival. From there, attendees are escorted to their seats and provided with appetizers and a printed menu featuring fine-dining-style selections, rotating entrees, desserts, and ongoing beverage service–including wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.

The experience doesn’t end with just one space either. Members also enjoy all-access privileges to other premium club areas on the same level. Fans can visit the Champions Club for additional cuisine options or stop by the MotorCity Casino Hotel Tiger Club for classic ballpark fare and convenient access to merchandise at The D Shop on Comerica Landing.

An Exclusive Look Behind the Scenes

The Press Club is by design an intimate and exclusive experience, with only 26 seats. Social posts from those affiliated with the project describe it as perhaps “the coolest, most exclusive club in the entirety of Detroit,” given its unique positioning and limited capacity.

The Press Club also builds on momentum created last season, when the Tigers unveiled the Home Plate Club, another premium hospitality space designed to elevate the game-day experience at Comerica Park. That club introduced fans to a more upscale, lounge-style setting with enhanced dining options, comfortable seating, and proximity to the action near home plate.

Its debut signaled a broader commitment by the organization to modernize premium offerings and meet growing demand for experiences that go beyond traditional seating.

At Comerica Park specifically, recent additions like the MotorCity Casino Hotel Tiger Club, which offers an affordable yet premium indoor club experience starting at about $99 per game, show the Tigers’ commitment to expanding options across multiple tiers of fan engagement.

The Press Club adds a high-end top tier to that continuum, one built around exclusivity and experience rather than capacity or volume. It complements existing spaces, giving fans more ways than ever to enjoy a day at the ballpark tailored to their interests and budgets.
