CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein thinks so
Coach Wade’s team is showing yet another distinct differentiator from his predecessor, they are keeping up a regular stream of media releases during the offseason. In an interview recently, he told the interviewer that the non-conference schedule was almost done, “one game left to be signed.” We’ve seen the opponents beginning to be released one at a time to keep the buzz going, UAB, then (probably) NC Central, and most recently Ole Miss.
Last week the staff did individual interviews, introducing the fans to the assistant coaches, Brandon Chambers, Vernon Hamilton, and Adam Howard, and also Patrick Stacy, the Assistant GM.
And there’s been a regular stream of interviews with the man himself. And clearly, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein is a big fan. He is now predicting Darrion Williams as the ACC Preseason Player of the Year, and says, “I don’t even think it’s much of a debate.”

Highlights:
Williams was not the focal point for Texas Tech like he will be at NC State, they had JT Toppin, the Big 12 Player of the Year.
