How EA could justify spending decades tirelessly refining the gameplay at the expense of this feature is mindboggling, but I digress.
Now that this particular breakthrough has happened, I have to think it’s just a matter of time until the larger universe of assistant coaches is included. Cut scenes of four guys in headsets looking confused after a first quarter timeout should be the next priority, without question. That moment is as universal as mascots or the marching band.
Also I feel like there should be extensive options in re: coaches’ attire. If I decide that a bucket hat and jeans are sideline appropriate for my head coach (we’re changing the culture), then dammit, I should be able to bring that look to life.
