WILMINGTON, N.C. (WNCN) — The NC State baseball team is visiting the coast for a one-game midweek tilt before a huge rivalry series later this week.
The No. 16 Wolfpack (30-15 overall, 15-8 Athletic Coast Conference) plays at UNC Wilmington (26-21 overall, 13-8 Coastal Athletic Association) Tuesday. First pitch at Brooks Field is scheduled for 6 p.m.
NC State comes into the game on a three-game losing streak, but still holds a half-game lead over rival North Carolina for second place in the league standings. The Wolfpack’s currently skid started with a 6-3 loss to UNCW last week in Raleigh, which was the first meeting between the two programs this season. The Seahawks have won three straight contests over NC State.
The Wolfpack get Wednesday off before starting a three-game series against in Chapel Hill against the No. 4 Tar Heels.
