DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — It’s only Week 4 of the college football season, but a rivalry game is already about to be played in Durham.
Duke (1-2) is set to host the so-far unbeaten NC State (3-0) Saturday afternoon. Kickoff at Wallace Wade Stadium is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Coming off a successful 2024 season, the Blue Devils had high hopes going into this year. But since winning their opening game against Elon, they’ve lost at home to then-No. 11 Illinois and on the road at Tulane. Last week, Duke lost 34-27 to the Green Wave.
The Wolfpack, meanwhile, has yet to lose. NC State defeated Wake Forest 34-24 in their last game, which was played on Sept. 11 in Winston-Salem.
Now, the two Triangle rivals clash, with one team hoping to get back on the winning track and the other looking to keep their streak alive.
