
Getting to know the kind of staff Coach Wade has assembled
Several members of the coaching staff met with the media recently. The interviews give us a peek at the inner workings of Coach Wade’s staff.
Hamilton has previously worked with Wade at McNeese and at LSU and Wade was a student manager and graduate assistant during Hamilton’s playing career at Clemson.
Hamilton was a four-year starter for Clemson (2004-07) and ended his career No. 1 all-time in steals average at the school with 271 steals. That was sixth in career steals in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He is No. 9 in assists at Clemson with 403 and scored over 1,200 points to finish in the top 25 in school history.
He was first team ACC All-Defensive team in 2006 and on the Collegeinsider.com Defensive All-American team in 2007. .
Highlights:
- “I think Tre Holloman is someone who’s going to be very special this season,” Hamilton said. “I think he’ll have a little bit more freedom than you’ve seen from him. His creativity to make plays off the bounce is going to really stand out.”

- Jerry Deng told Hamilton he didn’t have a regimented summer workout slate with the Seminoles. “If I have an opportunity to get my hands on him,” said Hamilton, who watched Deng go 24-for-25 from three in a workout earlier this week, “then who knows what he could be.”
