Auburn, Ala. (WNCN) — By their standards, North Carolina State baseball had a disappointing 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament. Despite earning a No. 4 seed and a double-bye, the Wolfpack lost the only game they played — a quarterfinal round game against No. 5 Clemson.
But they move to the NCAA D1 baseball tournament, where they’ll try to advance out of a regional hosted by one of the top four teams in the country.
During Monday’s selection show, it was revealed that the Wolfpack’s road to Omaha will have to go through Auburn (38-18), the No. 4 overall team in the nation out of the powerhouse Southeastern Conference. NC State (33-19) will be the No. 2 seed in the regional, which will be begin Friday at Plainsman Park in Alabama. The other teams in the event are Central Connecticut (31-15) and Stetson (40-20).
The winner of the this regional will move on to the super regionals to face off against the winner of the Conway regional hosted by Coastal Carolina. Here’s the schedule for games in Auburn along with the team’s seed in the event.
