Congratulations to David Thompson, possibly the best college basketball player ever
Game Summary:
NC State was heavily favored and beat the spread for a change. UMES is a bad basketball team, in mid rebuild, and we were expected to dominate – and we did. The only blemish on an otherwise total domination on the stat sheet was our inexplicably poor free throw shooting.
Overall Takeaways:
- MJ Rice saw his first playing time tonight and gave us reason for excitement. He only missed one shot, he hit a 3PT, and led the team in rebounding. Once he gets the rust off, he might be pretty good. I think he’s a keeper.
- This was a game to get a lot of court time for the bench and 10 players got 9 or more minutes.
- The team had it’s best shooting night of the season at 59.3%
