NBC has the right to set a streaming-only game here and there in an effort to drive subscriptions to Peacock, and alas, we have been given the business. (Louisville got the business last year.)
Not surprisingly, NBC executives are jumping at the opportunity to paywall the illustrious NC State football brand, as they are well aware that this will compel thousands of avid fans across the country to hand over their credit card information lest they be deprived of watching the Pack. We are once again victims of our tremendous success and pristine reputation.
Will NC State see any extra compensation for providing this helping hand to a rickety, largely unknown operation? Presumably not. Doesn’t seem right, if you ask me.
