Breon finishes just the way we hoped
Game Summary:
The first half was the Breon Pass show. He hit the first shot of the game and was the leading scorer for the half with 9 points (3-6 / 3-5), to go with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Great to see him have a great Senior Night. The Pack was hot from 3PT hitting 7-15 (46.7%) and had 8 assists on 11 made baskets. Halftime score 34-30 Wolfpack.
The seniors would not be denied in the second half. Pitt cut it to one possession, but never took the lead. Breon scored 5 more, Big Ben scored 10, O’Connell 8, and Styles 10. And late, when Pitt fouled and free throw shooting was critical, the Wolfpack shot 12-13 from the stripe for the half. Led by Styles’s 13, NC State won the rebounding 32-31. Final score, 71-63 Wolfpack.
