RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The North Carolina State women’s basketball team is heading to the Sweet 16.
The No. 3 seeded Wolfpack sealed the deal with clutch free throws in the final minute, winning 79-72 over Tennessee in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday.
Aziaha James led the way for the Wolfpack with 22 points and seven assists, while Saniya Rivers racked up 20 points and six rebounds.
NC State will next square off against No. 2 seed Stanford on Friday.
