Coach Wade adds a backup center

The Pack picked up another commit from the transfer portal, Scottie Ebube transferring from Wyoming. He will replace our previously recruited backup center, Paul Mbiya. No official explanation has been published as to why that fell apart, but rumors are that he asked for more money than originally agreed.

Our Asst GM, Patrick Stacy, was the GM for Wyoming and was instrumental in recruiting him to the Cowboys from SIU, and has now brought him over to the Wolfpack.

Stats:

  • Ht / Wt: 6’10” / 275
  • Position: Center
  • Eligibility: 1 season
  • PPG / RPG / APG: 5.0 / 2.7 / 0.3

’24-’25 season Highs: Scored double digits twice, including a season high of 22 (11-14); he pulled down 4+ rebounds 8 times, including a season high of 7.

Background:

Scottie Ebube is originally from Mundelein, IL. He was recruited out of high school to Southern Illinois and chose to redshirt his freshman season. He played two seasons at SIU before our own Assistant GM, Patrick Stacy recruited him to Wyoming last season where he averaged 10.4 minutes in a backup center role.

For his career, he has averaged a very efficient 67.8% from the field, he has never taken a 3PT shot, but unfortunately, he averaged 39.2% from the free throw line.

He will have one season of eligibility at NC State.

Welcome to the Pack!
