CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — North Carolina baseball is set to host Campbell for one game before gearing up for a big rivalry series to end the week.
The No. 4 Tar Heels (35-10 overall, 15-9 Atlantic Coast Conference), who are coming off a weekend break, will face the Fighting Camels (20-26 overall, 11-10 Coastal Athletic Association) at Boshamer Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The meeting will be the 53rd between the two programs on the diamond, with UNC leading the all-time series 41-11, including a 27-7 record in Chapel Hill. The two teams played each other twice last season, with Carolina winning both games.
Following Tuesday’s matchup with Campbell, the Tar Heels will host a three-game series against No. 16 NC State. The Wolfpack, who also plays tonight, is currently in second place in the ACC standings, just half a game above UNC.
