CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — North Carolina men’s basketball will be going coast-to-coast this January.
The Atlantic Coast Conference released the full league schedule Tuesday afternoon, months after announcing each team’s conference home and away opponents. It revealed that the Tar Heels will be traveling to play at Stanford and Cal days after hosting Wake Forest near the start of the year.
The schedule also revealed the dates for the upcoming season’s editions of the Duke-Carolina rivalry. The rivalry game is scheduled to be played in Chapel Hill on Feb. 7 and in Durham a month later on March 7.
Earlier this year, the ACC said it would be cutting the league schedule from 20 games to 18 in order to make room for more marquee nonconference matchups. As a result, UNC will not be hosting its other Triangle rival, NC State. But the Tar Heels will be traveling to Raleigh for a midweek date the week after Valentine’s Day.
Here is UNC’s ACC schedule for this season. Times for all games as well as specific dates for midweek games will be announced at a later date.
