SYRACUSE, N.C. (WNCN)— North Carolina ends a four game losing skid as the Tar Heels go on the road and beat Syracuse 27-10.
North Carolina got a big game from Demon June, who rushed for more than 100 yards, running for a score and hauling in a 72 yard touchdown pass as well.
The Tar Heel defense held Syracuse to just 10 points, holding the Orange scoreless in the second half. North Carolina scored 24 unanswered points after trailing early.
The much maligned Tar Heels now have new life. Four games remain on the schedule and on paper all of them are winnable. Three wins would get North Carolina bowl eligible.
