April 18, 2025 by CBS 17

CHAPEL HILL, N.C (WNCN) — The first spring football practices under new North Carolina head football coach Bill Belichick concluded Saturday, but at least a dozen players who were with the team last week have chosen not to remain in Chapel Hill.

The spring 2025 transfer portal window opened Wednesday and will be open for 10 days, closing on April 25. The UNC football program had a busy day, with reports of 12 players declaring their intentions to leave on the first day of the period.
