College Football Analyst Names Most “Favorable” Schedule

Brad Crawford of 247Sports has put together his list of teams that have pretty good schedules for the 2022 season.

The team with the most favorable schedule comes out of the ACC and no, it’s not a team from the chaotic coastal division. Crawford has Wake Forest in that top spot.

The main competition the Demon Deacons will have comes from the Clemson Tigers and NC State Wolfpack.

Clemson will surely want to rebound this year after not even making the ACC Championship Game last season.

“Unlike N.C. State, the Demon Deacons play Clemson at home for the ACC opener at the end of September and by that time, Wake Forest should be 3-0 and oozing with confidence in arguably the most important home game of Dave Clawson’s tenure — at least up to this point,” Crawford writes. “If the Demon Deacons are able to beat Clemson, they will be in control of their College Football Playoff destiny as long as they finish without a loss and take out the Wolfpack on the road in November.”

Wake Forest is fresh off winning the Atlantic Division this past season and looks to be a top contender to win it again.

Crawford has three other ACC teams in his top six for the most favorable schedules. You can view the list here.
