CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — On Monday, Queen City News got a first look at the ongoing construction at the Spectrum Center.
Currently, the construction is in phase two of the development. It includes adding more seating on the lower level, changes to the Belk Concourse and more.

The first phase of construction was focused on creating new products and updating other spaces in the arena.
Officials say the goal is for everyone to enjoy their time at the Spectrum Center.
“What we try to do is create a renovation project that elevates the guest experience,” Chief Venues Officer Donna Julian says. “We are in the ‘memory business’, so we want to make sure people leave here and have a great time. We want to exceed their expectation.”
The Spectrum Center will reopen in two months to celebrate 20 years of operating in Charlotte.
