Canes look to take commanding lead in series with win tonight
The Carolina Hurricanes will face the Washington Capitals for game four of their round two series tonight. The game has a start time of 7 P.M. and it will be televised by TNT/TruTV.
The Canes have a 2-1 series lead and will look to increase that with another win at home.
Coach Rod Brind’Amour confirmed that Fred Andersen will be in net tonight for the home team. Andersen currently has the best save percentage (.945) and goals allowed average (1.55) in the NHL Playoffs.
Andrei Svechnikov is hot for Carolina. He has six goals in his eight games played. The star winger has hit the post or crossbar several times as well.
During the last game, the coaching staff mixed the lines a bit and it looks like they will start out that way again tonight.
Svechnikov – Aho – Jarvis
Hall – Roslovic – Stankoven
Martinook – Staal – Carrier
Blake – Kotkaniemi – Robinson
The defensive pairings will be the same.
Martinook and Chatfield, who were both banged up a bit during the last game, are expected to play tonight.
I saw on the “X” that Leonard will be drawing in again in place of Raddysh for Washington. They will be looking to get Alex Ovechkin back on track. He has yet to score in this series.
