RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Carolina Hurricanes are ready to take on the New York Islanders yet again.
Ahead of game five of round one of the NHL playoffs the players spent time practicing on the ice Monday.
Off the ice, fans like Rebecca Culham say they’re excited to watch the Canes in action. She spent time grabbing last minute gear at the team’s gift shop before she watches the game in person.
“You come to the game, you feel all the energy,” said Culham. “I can’t even tell you how exciting the last game was when we were here, and we were down in the comeback. Just the energy you felt with the crowd and everything it was so exciting.
Evan Huntley says he’s excited too. He’ll be watching Tuesday’s game at home.
“We got the big screen tv and we’ll be ready to kick back and enjoy that,” said Huntley.
Tickets to see the game are still available. CBS 17 checked online and found some tickets available between $83 and $210. If there is a game 7 ticket prices are even higher, between $125 and $300.
Huntley says he hopes a game 7 isn’t in the cards.
“No, I’m not going to go because they’re not going to game 7, we’re finishing the job on Tuesday, that’s what’s happening,” said Huntley. “I wanted them to get the sweep. They came out a little lackadaisical I thought and I want to see them just take care of business.”
