OTTAWA, ONTARIO (AP) — The Hurricanes look to break a five-game losing streak on the road Thursday night as they travel to their game against the Ottawa Senators.
Ottawa has a 26-11-3 record at home and a 44-30-7 record overall. The Senators have gone 24-11-4 when they serve fewer penalty minutes than their opponent.
Carolina is 16-20-4 on the road and 47-29-5 overall. The Hurricanes are 43-6-3 when scoring three or more goals.
Just Wednesday night, the Hurricanes lost 4-2 to the Canadiens in Montreal. The Canadiens earned a spot in the playoffs with that win, facing the Washington Capitals.
As for the Hurricanes, their playoff hopes have been solidified, but the team looks to end the regular season on a winning note. The puck drops around 7 p.m.
