After a slow start, Jordan Martinook tied the game, 1-1 with a slick shot with just a minute left in the first period.
The Blues scored a powerplay goal in the second, but Jarvis tied it 2-2 with his 31st of the season just two minutes and change later.
The Canes outshot their opponents 19-6 in that period as they started to take over the game.
Jaccob Slavin gave his team the lead for good off a nice pass by Sebastian Aho in the third and Carolina never looked back.
