NHL Predictions

Winnipeg Jets vs Dallas Stars

Series Head-to-Head: Jets 1-2 Stars

Time: 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

TV: ESPN, Sportsnet, CBC, TVAS

There’s all to play for in this Game 4 between the Jets and the Stars in this round of NHL predictions. Game 3 turned on a dime with a controversial goal and opened the floodgates for Dallas.

Winnipeg knows that it has to win this critically-important game and it has to win in order to send this series back to Manitoba even at two games each. The Jets have won each game after they’ve lost, but they have yet to win a game on the road this season. A win by Dallas can give it a stranglehold in the series.

Let’s take a look at the stats and storylines in this round of NHL predictions.

The Jets Story

Starter Connor Hellebuyck has been up and down in this series. After a Game 2 shutout, the team struggled around him. It seemed like the air was driven out of them after that goal.

The Jets have to find a way to contain Mikko Rantanen and keep him off the scoresheet. Kyle Connor has been solid in this post-season with five goals and eight assists for 13 points this post-season. However, they’ll need others to chip in order to get this series tied up.

The Stars Story

Alexander Petrovic‘s goal seemingly set off a chain reaction for the Stars, who got a three-goal third period en route to their Game 3 victory. Rantanen posted a goal and two assists for Dallas while Thomas Harley added a goal and an assist as well.

Jake Oettinger will get the call in goal and will look to build off his 24-save performance in the third game. The defence in front of him has also been solid in this series. However, Dallas knows it’ll get Winnipeg’s best shot.

Prediction

The Jets are the kings of bouncing back this post-season. However, they have yet to crack the code away from the Canada Life Centre.

Dallas has been solid at home for the most part and that trend should continue. The Stars will get themselves one game away from another Western Conference Final.

Prediction: Stars win 4-2.

Prop Bets of the Night

We round out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. The over/under for this game is 5.5 and we think the over just gets met in this one.

As for individual props, go with Miro Heiskanen to get a point on the power play for the Stars. For the Jets, take Nikolaj Ehlers to score a goal for them.
