CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) — Prior to last Sunday’s victory against the Falcons, the Carolina Panthers brought a special visitor to practice — a superfan and Atrium Health Levine Children’s heart transplant patient.
Born with a congenital heart defect, 13-year-old Bryson Shupe of Conover spent more than eight months at Levine Children’s Hospital awaiting a life-saving heart transplant. During his stay, Bryson received visits from Panthers Legend Greg Olson and team mascot Sir Purr. In June 2017, Bryson received his new heart and now, eight years later, is a thriving 13-year-old.
Bryson was invited into the team huddle during practice to give a motivational speech, but little did he know, the team was about to gift him the trip of a lifetime.

The team surprised Bryson with that, in partnership with Atrium Health, the Panthers are sending him and his family on an all-inclusive trip to Green Bay to watch the Panthers compete against them on November 2.
