Frank Reich led his press conference with the obvious: Bryce Young missed practice with an ankle injury. The quarterback’s foot then obviously became the central focus of the press conference. Reich didn’t offer much about the nature of the injury or how it was sustained. Reich said they didn’t know what play Young suffered the injury, nor did they believe it affected his Monday Night Football performance. I wonder if the injury happened on the big running play where Young ended in that usually awkward slide. It looked as if his cleat got hung up in the turf..yes, that BOA turf monster!
Reich said they would monitor the injury and Young’s recovery. They are confident in Andy Dalton if Young isn’t ready to go on the short week.
