At just 24 years and 128 days old, Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has etched his name into NFL history.
In a dramatic 31–28 win over the Los Angeles Rams, Young delivered a 43-yard go-ahead touchdown on a fourth-down drive with 6:34 left in the fourth quarter. The throw that sealed the victory marked his 11th career game-winning drive (GWD) in the fourth quarter or overtime. That milestone makes him the youngest quarterback in NFL history to reach 11 GWDs, surpassing Josh Allen, who previously held the benchmark at 24 years and 164 days.

The Panthers entered Sunday’s game as 9.5-point underdogs against the Los Angeles Rams, who came into the week as heavy Super Bowl favorites. But with some help from Carolina’s defense and their two forced interceptions by Matthew Stafford, Young was able to keep his team in the game long enough to orchestrate a game-winning drive. He finished the game with 206 yards on an efficient 15 of 20 passing, and added three touchdowns, including the one that proved to be the difference.
With the win, the Panthers move to 7-6 on the season. They keep pace with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are just a half-game up in the NFC South standings, but are still on the outside of the Wild Card chase. Adding to the intrigue down the stretch, the two sides will play twice over the final three games of the NFL regular season.
Young and the Panthers head into their bye week on a high, and won’t play again until December 14th. They’ll take on the New Orleans Saints when they return to action.
