We’re continuing counting down the days until the Panthers open the 2025 NFL season!
Hello CSR! We’re continuing to countdown the days until the Panthers bring us the rush of real football again! With 61 days left, that brings us to breaking down number 61 for the Panthers; offensive guard Jarrett Kingston!
Kingston entered the NFL out of USC as a player with mileage at both guard and tackle, eventually being selected in the 6th round of the 2024 NFL Draft with the 215th overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers. He unfortunately didn’t make it through the final 53 man roster countdown, being waived. The Panthers decided to claim him on waivers, and he played in 7 games for them in 2025, logging 24 tackles on special teams and one snap on offense. The Panthers actually kept him around on their main roster the entire season, meaning they must have seen something in the 6th round rookie.
Kingston was definitely a luxury add for a Panthers team that was continuing to build its offensive line depth in 2024, however his prospects this season get a bit more tricky since they’ll likely be looking to retain both Brady Christensen and Cade Mays after their final roster cutdown, as both were brought back in free agency and both have played multiple snaps at both guard and center. Still, there will be a spot or two available on the back end even if they are fortunate enough to not see many injuries along the offensive line. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kingston managed to snag a spot on the main roster.
What are your thoughts on Kingston’s 2025 season chances, Panthers fans?
