While the focus is on the Carolina Panthers having the number one pick in the upcoming draft, the team also holds an important pick at number 39 overall. The Panthers have several positions they need to address, and here are three potential selections they could make:
Bryan Bresee – DT, Clemson
Bryan Bresee is a talented defensive tackle from Clemson who boasts high-end athletic ability in the trenches. Despite his 5-star status, Bresee’s production in college did not quite live up to expectations. Drew Sanders – LB, Arkansas
Drew Sanders is an inside linebacker from Arkansas who possesses a rare combination of size and speed. He can play downhill and explode through gaps to stretch offenses to the sideline. Sanders is also a strong coverage linebacker, with numbers at the combine that was eerily similar to the legendary Luke Kuechly. He would be a valuable addition to the Panthers’ defense and could help solidify the team’s linebacker corps. With the number one pick being the focus of attention, it’s important not to overlook the importance of the Panthers’ pick at number 39 overall.
