Hello CSR! We’re 58 days away from the start of the 2025 regular season for the Carolina Panthers, meaning we’re going to talk about # 58 for the Panthers today; OLB Mapalo Mwansa!
Mwansa joins the Panthers as their latest member of the NFL International Pathway program, a program meant to help players outside of the NFL’s usual college pipeline find their way into the league. I think you all will fondly remember another one of these guys, former EDGE Efe Obada!
Mwansa signed as an outside linebacker, and donned the number of former Panthers all-time great Thomas Davis! While he certainly will have to do a ton to ever live up to that name, Mwansa definitely is someone to watch during training camp. He’s a multi-sport athlete, and just so happens to be lining up at a position where high end athleticism can create a career as an edge rusher.
