Carolina will look to both free agency and the draft to fill the void left by DJ Moore

March 12, 2023 by Carolina Cat Chronicles

The Carolina Panthers’ decision to trade DJ Moore to the Chicago Bears has left a void in their wide receiver room that needs to be filled. The Panthers will have to be active in free agency to find a reliable veteran receiver who can provide stability and leadership to their young receiving corps. They may also need to invest in a wide receiver in the upcoming NFL draft to add depth and competition to the position.

It’s crucial for the Panthers to surround their young quarterback with the best possible talent, and that starts with the wide receiver position. With Moore gone, the Panthers’ remaining receivers – Terrace Marshall, Jr, Laviska Shenault, and Shi Smith – are young and inexperienced. While they all have potential, they may not be ready to carry the load of a passing game that already struggled last season.

The Panthers will explore all options to fill the void left by Moore. Whether it’s through free agency or the draft, they need to find reliable options for their quarterback. This will give him the best chance to succeed and grow as an NFL quarterback.

The Panthers need to be active in free agency and possibly the draft to bolster their wide receiver room. The departure of DJ Moore leaves a big hole, and the Panthers need to find a way to fill it. If they can add the right pieces to their offense, they could be well-positioned to take a step forward and compete in the tough NFC South.
