Let’s take a closer look at one of the prospects the Panthers could select in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Since it’s never too early to look forward to the NFL Draft, this weekly series will take a closer look at some of the prospects the Carolina Panthers could select in the 2025 iteration of the Draft. In this series, we’ll only be looking at prospects the Panthers could seriously consider. This week our profile will focus on Texas Longhorns speedster receiver Isaiah Bond.
Isaiah Bond is a small (5’11”, 180 lbs) but insanely fast wide receiver out of Georgia. He originally attended Alabama, but transferred to Texas in hopes of getting better results under a more pro style offense. Bond was a major contributor for the Crimson Tide, but has exploded as a pass catcher with the Longhorns, upping his yards per reception to over 16 and scoring more touchdowns in one season (rushing and receiving) in Texas than in two years with Alabama.
Bond’s biggest strength is his insane, track level speed. He has the top end speed and short area quickness to be a versatile weapon. He can run the deep routes or take a quick pass a very long distance. Because of his size, Bond can occasionally be bullied off the line or on contested catches. Still, his ability to create separation and move around the formation helps mitigate those concerns a bit. Depending on how fast he runs at the combine (some think he could run mid 4.2s), he may shoot up draft boards come February. For now, though, he’s often considered a late first/early second round player. He obviously wouldn’t be the target with a top ten pick, but could be on the radar after trading back to acquire more picks or if he’s available near the top of the second round.
What do you think, Panthers fans? If Isaiah Bond is available when the Panthers select in the 2025 NFL Draft, should they take him? Sound off in the comments!
