After a long, but productive off-season, we have finally made it to the first preseason game of the season, as the Panthers host the Cleveland Browns later tonight at Bank of America Stadium, with the starters expected to play at least one drive on both sides of the football. Carolina hosted Cleveland for a joint practice session earlier this week, with the belief that the Panthers were the better team, and they’ll have the chance to prove that tonight, in a game setting, as opposed to the controlled environment that exists during the joint practices.
Earlier this morning, Darin Gantt of Panthers.com joined the Mac & Bone Show to set the scene for tonight’s preseason against the Browns, he talks about what we should expect to see from the starters, including Bryce Young, what went into the decision to play the starters in the opener, and makes a passionate case for both Luke Kuechly and Steve Smith to get into Canton sooner rather than later.
You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show) every weekday morning from 6-10 AM on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
