Sunday Night Football is back this week featuring two NFC teams contending to be the runner ups to the Detroit Lions. This week, that’s the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams. All Sunday Night Football games kick off at 8:20 ET on NBC.

This is going to be a battle of strengths with the Rams impressive passing attack going toe to toe with the Eagles league-leading pass defense. The Rams defense, meanwhile, looks to pose less of a threat to an Eagles offense that is firing on all cylinders. That all portends a close game that mildly favors the road team, but I can’t get away from the Rams having the better weapons and, in my opinion, better coaches. I think that gives the edge to the home team and is why I am picking the Los Angeles Rams to upset the Eagles.
That, and it avoids me picking a team with two losses to the NFC South on their resume to have success.
